A mother of two. In Taiwan, she received a Master’s Degree in Japanese literature, and a second Master’s in Human Development from the USA’s University of Wisconsin. Licensed as a preschool director and teacher by the American Montessori Society. Chou’s Ph.D. thesis explored the relationship between young children’s favorite humorous picture books and their cognitive development. Chou’s Mimi series combined a mother’s experience with ideas related to child development.
